County Kerry
County Kerry is situated in the south west of Ireland and is one of the largest counties in the country. It is mainly rural in character with a vast and varied coastline and the country's highest mountains. The friendly nature of the people is legendary and there is a rich heritage so it is perhaps not surprising that tourism is the most important industry.
Although Kerry has too many highlights to list here it is worth mentioning that the Killarney National Park with its 26,000 acres of lakes, mountains and parkland is only 45 minutes drive away. Golf Courses
Kerry is blessed with many golf courses. The following is a list of some of them with the approximate drive time from the house.

- Castlegregory – 25 mins
- Dooks – 40 mins
- Killarney – 45 mins
- Tralee – 20 mins
- Waterville – 90 mins
Horse Riding
Ireland is famous for it's love of horses and there are many places that cater for horse riding and pony trekking at every experience level. Major riding centres can be found at Tralee, Killarney and Dingle. Longs Riding Centre just beyond Dingle offers beach gallups for the experienced rider. The three mile sands of Inch Beach, just five minutes drive away, is also a place where horses can often be seen galloping.

Killarney is farmous for the traditional pony and traps offering trips through the famous Gap of Dunloe and the many laneways through the Killarney National Park.
Excellent views of Killarney National Park are to be found on many of the mountainside walks in this area.
The many shaded paths around Killarney National Park offer an endless supply of scenic locations for the keen rambler.
Galluping on Ventry Beach just beyond Dingle. There are many secluded beaches on the Dingle peninsula where horses can be given free reign.
