The garden and field

The entrance to the property has a new timber gate with brick and stone pillars.  There is a block paving driveway which continues around the house to provide a patio and extensive parking facilities.

The property is set in just over an acre of beautifully landscaped gardens surrounded by open countryside.  The borders have been covered with weed suppressant membrane and local stone chippings that reduce maintenance and provide a splendid backdrop to the many plants, shrubs and trees.

A mains powered decorative lamp is positioned in the border on either side of the driveway.

There are both timber and brick planters to provide interest and colour. The house and garage were painted in contemporary colours in 2008.

To the rear of the property is a field of approximately 4.5 acres that is available as a separate sale from a local farmer.  This gives a prospective purchaser the opportunity to acquire a total of 5.5 acres.  The field is suitable for horses, other animals or for setting up a small holding. Vehicle access to the field is down a short lane that runs along one side of the property so that access to the field can be monitored from the house.  The lane is to be sold with the field.
